Before Frisco was a popular destination for North Texas residents, long before Stonebriar mall was ever conceived and before anyone in Dallas even knew that Frisco was considered part of the Metroplex, there was the ORIGNAL gated neighborhoods of Stonebriar. Surrounded by the Stonebriar Country Club the neighborhoods offer a wide variety of golf course views, zero lot line homes, and multi acre properties which are difficult to find in the area to say the least. Back when the area was developed, it would not have been considered uncommon to find a raw acre of land near this area for $15,000, today that same acre of land in Stonebriar Creek could cost you $700,000, if a raw acre of land still existed.
The area is geographically located west of the Dallas North Tollway and east of Spring Creek Blvd, North of 121 and South of Warren Pkwy. The area is made up of several neighborhoods including Stonebriar, Stonebriar Country Club Estate, Stonebriar Village, Creekside at Stonebriar, Chase at Stonebriar, Villages of Stonebriar Park and the most prestigious, Stonebriar Creek. Needless to say it is a huge area and is located in both Collin and Denton County. The neighborhoods on the Collin County side feed into Frisco ISD while the Homes on the Denton County side feed into Lewisville ISD which is typically not thought of as highly but the specific schools that serve the neighborhood were specifically designed for the residents of these neighborhoods and will go toe to toe with the corresponding Frisco schools.
The price ranges are vast in Stonebriar. You can spend as little as $350,000 on a home just over 2,200 square foot zero lot line home or you can spend $8,000,000 on a 15,000 square foot homes with 10 acres, and EVERYWHERE in between. Without mistake, Stonebriar is still considered to be an “ADDRESS” in DFW.
