Starwood is still THE neighborhood that everyone else has been chasing for the past 15 years.  Starwood along with Stonebriar maintains the most prestigious address in Frisco, It is the “Willow Bend”, “Preston Hollow” or “Highland Park” of Frisco.  It is located right off of the Dallas North Tollway and just minutes north of Highway 121 giving it easy access to Downtown Dallas, Addison, DFW Airport or anywhere else in the city you may wish to go.  The neighborhood is fully gated with a 24 hour guard stand that restricts those who do not live in the neighborhood from entering its gates.  Once inside you will be impressed by the parks, community center, pools, endless hike and bike trails along the many wooded green belts and the tennis courts.  Starwood has a very active community and you will recognize its personality immediately.

Starwood is truly a Custom Home neighborhood.  There is no builder present that will build the most convenient home for themselves and sell you on why it is the best home for you.  In Starwood you can still purchase an empty lot and start from scratch or buy and existing custom built home built by someone else.  This means that there is a WIDE variety in the neighborhood, the cookie cutter house does not exist in Starwood.  There are very few new construction opportunities left so if that is what you are looking for a new construction don’t hesitate.  The neighborhood was formed by builders such as Huntington Homes, Steve Roberts Homes, Bob Bobbitt Homes, Sanders Homes, Pierce Custom Homes, Zachary Custom Homes, etc.

The overall neighborhood is broken up into smaller villages such as The Buttes, The Falls, The Reserve, The Oaks, Spanish Oaks Estates and The Lakes at Starwood.  Each of these neighborhoods have different construction styles such as Spanish style homes, French, English Tudor, Mediterranean, Contemporary and Traditional.  Homes start around 4,000 square feet and are as large as 11,000 square feet and the price range starts around $450,000 and goes as high as $4,500,000.

There is one minor setback to the neighborhood however, although it is now the trend to place schools inside of residential neighborhoods that was not the case in the late 1990’s when Starwood was originally developed so the schools are a distance away.   Spears Elementary is an Exemplary school but is located east of the Dallas North Tollway on Wade Blvd very near Frisco High School.   Hunt Middle School is located near the corner of Preston and Lebanon on the east side of Frisco as well and is listed as Recognized since it is still a newer campus.  Pioneer Middle School is however on the west side of Frisco and is also an Exemplary school but only services part of the neighborhood.  Frisco High School still services the neighborhood and is still an excellent school, it is located near the Dallas North Tollway and Stonebrook which is relatively close.  There are private schools in the area such as Starwood Montessori which is located just outside of the main gates of the neighborhood and Legacy Christian Academy is just north on Legacy Drive, both of these serve as excellent alternatives to the already highly rated public schools.

Starwood is a proven entity and its home still tend to hold their value better than its alternatives.  If you have never been inside you owe it to yourself to understand what Starwood has to offer.  For more information call Dan Cooper at 214-714-5638.
